Precision On-Site Measurement Services

On-Site Inspection LLC is a leading provider of precision portable measurement products and services for the Aerospace, Automotive, and Agricultural industries. We employ state-of the-art, three-dimensional industrial measurement equipment, combined with the latest software enhancements.

We have over twenty years' experience in three-dimensional coordinate metrology. We perform large as well as small measurement tasks, which include reverse engineering, geometric verification of industrial tooling, and real-time cad to part inspection.

Reverse Engineering

On-Site Inspection LLC offers reverse engineering services, which consist of collecting either XYZ point cloud data via the Perceptron laser scanner combined with the Romer portable CMM, or a structured data collection method, which consists of measuring exportable geometric features such as circles, planes, cylinders, etc. It is also possible to use both methods on the same part.

This data can then be exported to virtually any 3rd party CAD package using one of several types of translators. Some examples of translators are; IGES, ASCII, STL, DXF, STEP, and some native file formats, such as Catia, Pro-E, Unigraphics, Solidworks, etc.

Once the data has been imported into the cad software, the next step in the process is to convert the data to a 3D surfaced or solid model, which then can be used to machine a prototype of the part.

Fixture Verification

On-Site Inspection LLC precision measuring and alignment services include the inspection and fabrication of industrial tooling. The equipment and techniques used provide our customers with the utmost in accuracy and speed. Some of the services include:

Leica Laser Tracker System

On-Site Inspection LLC is pleased to have added the Leica laser tracker system, effective July 2001. The Leica laser tracker is an extremely accurate, robust, and versatile measuring system. This new addition joins forces with the Romer portable cmm to provide our clients with the utmost in accuracy, portability, and speed.

Cad to Part Inspection

On-Site Inspection LLC offers a comparison of inspection points to your
CAD model to provide you with real-time results. We will display these inspection results using an intuitive graphical display, combined with a variety of quality control inspection reports.
